“In today’s times, with such conflicting messages tugging at us daily via social media, news media, and panel discussions, THE THREE HARES is a welcome and metaphorical diversion. Good versus evil, clearly defined. This story quickly becomes captivating in the form of a puzzle and a quest for Ethan and his friends. A mysterious legacy unfolds and the desire to fend off decades of furtive operations builds as does the devotion to uphold the ideals of integrity and honor.” – Gwen Wear, retired teacher

“My favorite part of the book was when Ethan fought the Red Fox’s assassin. My favorite character is Ethan because he is the best at fighting with the bokken. I liked the way the book was written because it kept me interested when I don’t normally like reading. I would recommend this book because it has a good plot and characters.” – Mason, age 13, early reviewer

“As a retired secondary teacher, I recognize the great need for quality young adult fiction. Geoff Simpson’s novel, THE THREE HARES, is that kind of book. The adventures of the three young heroes will surely fire the imagination of teenage readers. Set against the struggle of good versus evil, the characters are relatable and finely drawn. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.” – Gary Simpson, retired teacher

“Geoff Simpson is a talented, insightful author with a keen sense of history; details and nuance of which are cleverly woven into an exciting story that grips and holds the reader’s attention through a page-turning adventure. Young readers and adults alike easily identify themselves with the characters, whose seemingly benign lives in a small town are suddenly and unexpectedly upended with secrets and age-long conflicts, which inevitably draw them into a world where their destinies and the history of the town are inexplicably linked forever. Geoff brings this to life with great story telling, character development and relationships which springs this adventure to life. The Three Hares is a fun, exciting and great read which left me wanting to hear more, even when the final page was turned.” – Robert Sutton, early reviewer
