Wrong. Her grandmother’s best friend is found dead in the foyer of the quaint B&B.

Sharyn Bradford Lunn
“Peril In The Pines: A Cody Costin Cozy Mystery 1 by Sharyn Bradford Lunn is a beautifully-crafted adventure into unknown intrigue and peril, drawing the reader into a young woman’s quest to find answers. On returning home from her studies in Journalism for a break with her family, Cody Costin finds her plans derailed when she is led to a grim discovery whilst walking in Dedisse Park. This discovery is not only shocking in its nature but directly linked to Cody in a very painful way. This precipitates her involvement in the subsequent investigation, where her passion drives her to try to solve the mystery. Will Cody uncover the truth or will fate hold another card for her future?
Sharyn Bradford Lunn’s Peril In The Pines is a well-developed story that is very easy to read, containing clear and precise language with no distractions. The plot unfolds in a very structured and logical way, allowing the tale to flow smoothly whilst maintaining a good level of engagement with the reader. The characters were all well defined, particularly the sisters Cody and Scout, who displayed very real young adult behaviors and sibling interactions. The inclusion of Brad’s accident was a clever subplot, which allowed the main focus to center on Cody, whilst also stepping up the anxiety levels surrounding the main players. I also enjoyed the relationship between Cody and Sheriff Lockridge, and at times felt a great deal of empathy for his situation. Overall, a truly wonderful drama-mystery.” – Readers’ Favorite
