Cover Designer, Fine Art Photographer. My ultimate goal as a designer is to make sure a cover sets the mood and sends the right message about your book, enticing the reader to pick it up and study it, investigate, maybe even before he’s read the title! The front cover is first impression we have of a book, and for print books, the back cover is equally important – we have just seconds to convince that reader: OPEN ME, BUY ME, TRY ME.
I absolutely love tinkering and tweaking book covers: playing with images, fonts, effects, and colors to find the winning combination that makes a cover WORK. This perseverance and commitment to your cover is what drives me to be a better designer each day.
As a professional photographer, I am always searching for “the perfect shot” and envisioning my images as treasured, effective book covers. In fact, sometimes the images I shoot are done specifically with you in mind, at your request or through a suggestion you’ve made. Now THAT’s personal and exclusive service. This style of personalized photography allows me to be more creative with our ideas and offer more unique style, mood, and designs.
Whether it be an ebook, or a full-cover spread, my motivation is to collaborate, suggest, and revise revise revise until we have “THE ONE AND ONLY” cover for your book.
